Girls Need to Make the First Move in Ex-Tinder VP’s Bumble App

Girls Need to Make the First Move in Ex-Tinder VP’s Bumble App

Whitney Wolfe, a former Tinder employee who sued the company for sexual harassment, has launched a new competitor called Bumble. Wolfe is also working with two other early Tinder employees, Chris Gulczynski and his partner Sarah Mick (cofounders of YayNext).

Bumble shows you people nearby that you want to connect with. After two people mutually opt in by swiping right, they're added to each other’s ‘hive’ of connections. The girl has to make the first move, always. She has 24 hours to say something before the match disappears forever. We’re changing the rules of the game. Bee social, bee kind, bee polite.

Bumble touts itself as a place women can meet men who aren't creepy and cheesy, limiting unwanted messages.

"Bumble is the proper place to meet people. It's everything you've always wanted from a social discovery app with none of the things you don't. Other apps are full of creepy guys and cheesy pickup lines — but Bumble promotes a safe and respectful community. You'll never get unwanted messages and Bumble suggests matches based on more relevant signals than other, more shallow apps. So stop wasting time finding tons of dead end matches on other apps and switch to Bumble."

You can download Bumble App from the App Store for free.

This is a clear rip off of Wyldfire, the app where ladies are the gatekeepers and guys need their permission. The quality of ladies and guys there is incredible and interestingly Wyldfire seems the only dating app with a balanced guys/ladies ratio, which makes the experience better for everyone.
