Apple is Still Struggling to Keep Up With iPhone 6 Demand [Chart]

Apple is still struggling to keep up with iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus demand months after launching the new smartphones, reports Piper Jaffray.

Surveys conducted by analyst Gene Munster found that only 56% of core configuration were in stock as of last Friday, December 12th. He believes that availability will improve to 80% by the end of the quarter; however, expectations were that Apple would reach 100% in-stock before the end of December.

Notably, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus availability is actually slightly down from last month when Munster's survey of 80 Apple Stores found that 58% of models were in-stock on November 14th. In October, only 6% of models were in stock.

Piper Jaffray also found that supply of the iPhone 6 is more constrained than the iPhone 5s was last year.

Currently, online ship times for the new 16GB and 64GB iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models in any color from AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile ship in 3-5 business days.

Or difficult to make like the iPhone 5, which is the reason the 5S had different colors.

There's is a difference between dificult, impossible or limited. I believe it's simple a demand over supply. It's a big hit no matter how you look at it.

I hope you know you did not say anything. Nobody said anything about impossible. I just suggested that making the device might be too difficult to have adequate numbers. Oppo the mother company for the One Plus One said they, and others did not have adequate supplies of the glass, and other parts because of the iPhone 6/6 Plus. The original production yield was low at the before 2 months before the device came out. I believe it was up 25% devices were not up to Apple's standard. I sorry if you thought I was attacking your religion, I wasn't.

Religion, then that makes you an atheist visiting a church? The 25% news were months ago and it's a standard in any great company.

And wherein hell you take these numbers? Can you back it up? That's a crazy claim. You believe a company could sustain producing products and have to discard 25% of them? Neither, Apple nor the real manufacturer would allow this. You certain don't know the hell you are talking about.
