AppleTV 2.3.1 Update Breaks Boxee

Apple has released an Apple TV update that renders third party applications such as Boxee inoperable.

So far there is no indication of any improvements in the 2.3.1 update and the Apple Support page for the AppleTV has not been updated.

This updates seems to draw parallels to the iPhone 2.2.1 firmware update which did little but block the iPhone 3G unlock. It may be possible that this AppleTV update was seeded with similar intentions.
