Best Buy Lists New MacBook Pros With March 11th Release Date

Best Buy is listing new MacBook Pros with a March 11th release date and price of $1199 for the 13-inch model, according to screenshots obtained by 9to5Mac.

Best Buy stores have recently placed in “Dummy SKUs” for an updated MacBook Pro line. According to the Best Buy inventory system, the new MacBook Pro line will feature an $1199 model, which is the base price for the current 13 inch MacBook Pro.

MacRumors is quick to note that these Best Buy dates are usually just estimates and have been wrong by up to a month.


We received word of the same database entry about ten days ago, but have little faith in its accuracy, as the company did the exact same thing in early 2010, guessing at a March 14th date for new models. The update didn't actually occur until a month after the proposed date.
