As usual, jailbreakers and unlockers should wait before updating to iOS 4.3.1, warns MuscleNerd.

"Unlockers please stay away from today's iOS 4.3.1! Just to be extra safe, so should future iPad2 jailbreakers (for now)"

"(It's very unlikely they fixed the bug in comex's unreleased iPad2 jailbreak, but you never know. Better to wait for confirmation first.)"

We'll keep you update with more information on iOS 4.3.1 as it becomes available.

Sometimes when those update windows appear people click instinctively. It helps to have a reminder that day. Also there are new people buying and jailbreaking iPhones everyday. This could be someones first warning.

No shit you don't say. Wait huh. I've been waiting for 4.3 without anything being released why would anyone upgrade to 4.3.1? Why not say something relevant and give updates as to how everything is working with the aslr. Or a time frame of when to expect the jailbreak. I know these guys have lives and other shit to do and yes if I knew what I was doing I would create my own. But I'd also release what I said would when I would. All we hear lately is it's coming oh no apple released a new firmware don't update somethings coming soon. Idk really care for an unlock since im on Att but I do want the jb. I want to use Mywi on my ps3 without bridging to a computer and from my understanding 4.3 or verizion 4.2.6 can create a non ad hoc network. That and they took donations from ppl so to anyone who says they don't owe anything then I say to you yes they do. They accepted donations aimed at keeping them in the game so they could buy the tools needed or if enough donations quit thief day jobs and be our jb slaves! Lol. All I'm saying is they have been paid for a service they are not providing.

@hail do u not remember geohot's pages all have a donate button. Everyone of them has had one. Greenpois0n also has one. All of which I have made a donation right after I used their programs to say thank you and also when new firmware came out to help them with what ever needed to create a new one. Now that being said with the latest and greatest exploit that geohot found from my understanding is an unfixable jailbreak because it attacks an exploit of the processor itself. That being I also understand to make it and untether jailbreak it requires a software exploit and same as with an unlock. Same goes for ipad 2 since it's running an a5 processor and prolly doesn't have the same weaknesses as te others do. So y not realease a tethered jailbreak tool that would always work so the masses of people can jailbreak now and then patiently wait for an untether. As far as an unlock what is the difference between a non unlocked phone and a factory unlocked phone? Is it hardware or software. If software why can't it be cloned or recreated so that it only has to be released once as well? But all I want and am asking for is just a simple tethered jailbreak so I can update at my pleasure and then wait for something better to come along.

so we don't update to this version for what? to wait another 5 months for an unlock? its getting ridiculously long. i guess my donation was a waste, should've donated more to japan instead.

it's never coming out... i have a jailbroken / unlocked iPhone 4. I bought my gf an iPhone locked to AT&T .. it's been 5 months since I got her that and it's a useless piece of shit for me. I bought it 4 $550 and now am ready to sell for 400 if anyone wants to buy. I hate Apple & At&t crap which bound us for buying locked phones at full price. I respect dev team's work but i don't think anyone should rely on them ... I'm sure they have much better things to do than unlock iphone baseband.
