Eric Schmidt reveals that Google 'just' renewed their search and maps agreement with Apple confirming reports that iOS 5 would still use Google Maps.

Schmidt made the comments at The Wall Street Journal's D: All Things Digital conference in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

"We just renewed our Map and Search agreements with Apple, and we hope those continue for a long time."

Schmidt also made some other interesting comments regarding their attempt at negotiating a cloud music service.

"Music is fundamental now on all of these [mobile] devices." Our main competitor, Apple... iTunes is very familiar, and they have long-standing deals. We've been trying to convince the music industry to go on subscription basis, and they just haven't been willing to deal."
