Apple is reportedly working on Logic Pro X, an update to their digital audio workstation and MIDI sequencer application for OS X, reports Macotakara.

Development of "Soundtrack Pro 3" included in Final Cut Studio and Logic Studio has finished though replacement program is not suggested clearly, and WaveBurner will be integrated, and MainStage will be released as stand-alone application.

Logic team seems to expect that no confusion occurs like as Final Cut Pro X case because Logic Pro and 3rd party plug-ins already has built as 64 bit application. According to source, Logic team told only one thing about the next version, Logic Pro X will not have GarageBand style user interface.

It's expected that Apple would release Logic Pro X in the Mac App Store similar to Final Cut Pro X.
