MobileMount is an Innovative Suction Cup Mount for the iPhone/iPad

Posted October 20, 2011 at 6:07pm by iClarified
The MobileMount is a universal mount/kickstand for virtually any hand held device with a flat surface, including the iPhone and iPad.

Designed by JR Sanchez, the mount is comprised of two twist-to-lock suction cups and one ball joint which allows for superior suction and durability.

The "Patent Pending" Twist-to-Lock suction cups can hold devices for weeks at a time rather than simply a few hours like other competing mounts. Additionally, the universal design allows for users to mount their phone without removing the case.

Sanchez is seeking funding of $20,000 on KickStarter to make this mount a reality. So far $8585 dollars have been pledged with 40 days to go.

More details can be seen in the videos below...

Looks very cool and sleek, but like most people i have a case which is not smooth, and a suction cup would not adhere to it. In fact, not that I think about it, I don't know anyone who uses an iphone without a case. http://www.iphonefamily.net/2011/10/21/mobilemount-suction-cup-mount-for-iphone-ipad/

Some of you guys kill me with your responses! He's taking a product that exists and making it better/more adaptable! Steve jobs did not invent the computer or cell phone or touch screen he just made it better! Open your eyes people!!

But the technology, I'm almost certain, is patented by TomTom. You can't take 2 iPhones, connect them to each other to make a DS-like device and resell it as your own. The general idea of computers compared technology behind this specific design of suction cup is really out of proportion. Of course Steve Jobs didn't invent the computer, but he did help redesign the concept and make Macintosh. This guy, had nothing to do with the technology behind it. He took someone else's idea and outright copied it.

Yeah...I don't know how far this is going to get, considering this looks VERY similar to TomTom's suction device.

Strange. TomTom made one to fit both the 3 and 4, and use the gps feature, a couple of years ago.
