New MacBook Pro Specs Get Leaked?

Detailed specifications for the rumored MacBook Pro updates have been leaked online by 9to5Mac.

Today, we have all the details on the new notebooks and this looks to be a minor refresh with faster processors and more storage (for some models). The prices will be the same as the current model's prices.

13 inch MacBook Pro:
● 2.4 GHz dual core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive, SD card slot
● 2.8 GHz dual core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 750 GB hard drive, SD card slot


15 inch MacBook Pro:
● 2.2 GHz quad core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 500 GB hard drive, SD card slot
● 2.4 GHz quad core processor, 4 GB of RAM, 750 GB hard drive, SD card slot

17 inch MacBook Pro:
● 2.4 GHz quad core processor, 4GB, 750 GB hard drive, SD card slot, Express Card slot

Built-to-order configurations:
● 15 inch: 2.5 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive (faster 7200 RPM)
● 17 inch: 2.5 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, 750GB hard drive (faster 7200 RPM)

The new MacBooks Pros could be released as early as next week.

Because they are only dual core, while the others are quad core

The 13" may have two cores that run at 2.8, but the 15" and 17" have 4 cores. This means they have 4x the speed because of 4 different cores, and not just 2.

ExpressCard slot AND an SD card slot on the 17" MacBook Pro? I'd been holding off on buying a new one and now it looks like I can pick up an ExpressCard SSD drive and not have to pop it out to use my ExpressCard card reader. Sold!
