Apple Says It Continues to Investigate Battery Issues With iOS 5

Apple has issued a statement to AllThingsD saying that they are still investigating issues with battery life in iOS 5.

"The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices," the company said in a statement given to AllThingsD. "We continue to investigate a few remaining issues."

My iPhone 4S with ios 5.0 has never had battery issue, so I've never updated to ios 5.0.1 Just waiting for the ios 5.0 jailkbreak.

I believe it is a battery quality problem, or the bug exaggerate some faults of battery. If it is really a software bug, the battery problem must be more universal and being tested out before product launch.

I haven't had any problems with my battery. I didn't have problems when on 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 4.1, 4.2.1, or now with my newest iPhone 4S on 5.0. No battery issues at all, if it was software, shouldn't all phones act the same, it's all the same software. It's not like your phone got a special corrupt version of the software. Just a thought

All you NEW iPhone users it is NOT faulty battery, it IS software issue! The first iPhone was EXCELLENT TIL 3.1.2 thats when I noticed battery dying quickly...

It could be faulty battery during mass production, but I am lucky. I do not have the battery issue with IPhone 4S ios 5.0 like other mentioned. I did not update to ios 5.0.1 because I am waiting for the new Jailbreak.
