Apple January Event to Focus on Publishing and eBooks?

Apple's rumored event this January will reportedly focus on publishing and eBooks, according to TechCrunch sources.

The event will unveil improvements to the iBooks platform, according to the same source, and is not "major." I'm still trying to track down other details, such as the exact day and time and will keep you posted. My request for more information was sent to Apple via email and has not yet been responded to.

Plans for the event were first reported by AllThingsD earlier today.

please apple, we dont want shit anymore. just give us cool products, not crappy services. i dont want an ipad 3 that only features a 5 megapixel camera.

Cameras aren't important for tablets. Plus, a higher MP doesn't mean it takes better pictures.

Never understood for the life of me why someone wants to take a 10" flat board and hold it up in the to take photos or video unless they're the size of Shaq. I've got the iPad 2 and I've used the camera once. The day I opened the box to test it. Never used it again. I use the front camera for FaceTime a few times. That's fine. But never do I wan to record video or take photos with a huge tablet. And by the way services are what make the iPad and iPhone better. iTunes, app store, IBookstore are all easy to search and use. That's what separates iOS. So yes please give me more services to use that make this device trump all others.
