Share Files By Wi-Fi Across All iOS And Window Devices

BirdsCorp has introduced AirForShare 1.0 for iOS, their free Productivity app that allows multiple users of iOS devices to wirelessly share text, links, and files between all their iOS and OSX devices that are on the same Wi-Fi network. Files can be shared not only across Apple OS devices, but also between Windows computers and mobile devices. Files to be shared are uploaded to the free, web-based, AirForShare server, where they can be downloaded without a password or registration by any user on the Wi-Fi LAN. An ideal wireless service for file sharing between local users, AirForShare is completely free, easy to use, cloud based, and ad free.

As an online clipboard service, AirForShare eliminates all the obstacles to instantaneous file sharing, including: wired connections, special software, licensing, registration, an email address, or sync functions such as those provided by iTunes. As long as mobile devices and computers are in proximity of the same Wi-Fi hotspot or network, they can trade files effortlessly.

AirForShare is a clipboard service intended to provide temporary storage of relatively small files. Uploaded text and files remain on the AirForShare server for only 30 minutes, and there is a maximum file size limitation of 5 MB (text and data files rarely approach this size, and most photos are less than 5 MB in a compressed format). Once files have been uploaded, they appear as labeled thumbnails, and users can choose to download any number of files. Of course, only compatible downloaded files can be opened, so Windows-only files types such as .exe will not open on Apple devices, and .qxd files will not open unless the user owns a copy of the QuarkXpress application. The most commonly seen file extensions (.pdf, .jpg, .txt, .gif, .mp3, etc.) can be shared without difficulty between devices and platforms.

Users can browse through a scrollable list of the files available for download and may select any of them. A second tap or mouse click initiates the actual download. AirForShare even supports the saving of downloads directly to Dropbox or other cloud based storage services. Users of iDevices upload and download files via the AirForShare app, which is free. Users of non-iOS mobile devices and computers can access the AirForShare server via any web browser application. Since all computers and mobile devices are connected to the Internet via the same router, they all share the same external IP address, eliminating any need for users to search for files on the AirForShare Server.

Feature Highlights:
* AirForShare is the free, online clipboard service for sharing text and files
* Computers and mobile devices on the same wireless, Wi-Fi network can all share files between each other
* Perfect for quickly sharing photos, links, text, or files
* During meetings, distribute text and files to everyone present via the Wi-Fi LAN and AirForShare
* Teachers can share slides or documents with every user and device in a class
* Free and easy to use - requires no registration, passwords, email IDs, or cables

"AirForShare.com uses a single Wi-Fi hotspot to enable cross-platform text and file sharing," according to Dmitry Polyankovskiy and Mikhail Belstar. "AirForShare.com lets users instantly share photos, text, links, and files between devices without having to deal with passwords, registrations, downloaded software, or interconnecting cables. Users can share anything with other devices on the same Wi-Fi network, instantly."

Pricing and Availability:
AirForShare 1.0 for iOS is free and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Productivity category. The service can also be accessed via any web browser, regardless of platform or OS. (The iOS standalone app is necessary due to the limited photo export capabilities of Mobile Safari).
