Apple May Be Moving to a Fall Release Cycle for the iPhone

Apple is reportedly moving to a fall release cycle for the iPhone with the next update predicted for September or October of this year, reports Makotara.

According to Asian reliable source, next iPhone will be released in September or October , and this cycle seems to be kept for years.

MacRumors has also heard that Apple's ordering plans are pointing toward a launch of new hardware in the September.


iMore believes that an October launch is being targeted for an LTE enabled phone.

Apple has product cycles until they decide not to. Hence, moving the iPhone 4S announcement from June to October. In any case, the gist of this posting is an idea that's over a year old, when, as the iPhone 4S appeared delayed, many speculated that the iPod product line was becoming less worthy of its own event and that the iPhone would move to fill that prime pre-holiday announcement gap.
