Apple has revealed AT&T and Verizon's LTE data plans for the new iPad.

iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G lets you connect to fast data networks worldwide - up to 4G. So you can connect to the Internet even when Wi-Fi isn't available. Choose iPad with Wi-Fi + 4G and sign up for data service from AT&T or Verizon.

In the U.S., you can choose from data plans with no long-term contract.

What the cell providers need to do is come up with some kind of shared pool of data. It's getting way to expensive to have to pay for a data plan for every single device. They should have a shared pool of data you pay for between devices on your plans to make it a little more affordable for people. Yeah I know, they are in it to make money, but they would make more money if they made a pool of data for multiple devices on an account because then more people would be able to afford to pay for it within their budget. People may not notice it, but our economy still isn't that great, and a lot of people are hurting, so more expensive means less people spending the money.

Who is going to pay $80 for a data? Thats stupid.. all carriers should offer unlimited data plans... 2Gig is just miser

Way way expensive for iPad data. Add together one (or more) iPhone plans plus a home dsl/? plan and data access becomes too expensive for many. Highway robbery if you ask me !! Voice is almost a give-away in exchange for expensive data.

$5?? It's $20 more for 3gb more 2gb 20, 5gb 50. It is a rip off. This is added to the data you already use for your phone. It'd be better to just get the wifi and tether to share data. Of course then it's likely not be lte (depends on your phone or provider)
