Apple Changes the Name of the 'iPad Wi-Fi + 4G' to 'iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular'

Apple has changed the name of the 'iPad Wi-Fi + 4G' to the 'iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular'.

The change was first spotted on several international online Apple stores but has now made its way to the U.S. Apple Store as well.

Apple has been accused of misleading customers by implying that the new device would offer 4G speeds despite the fact that it would not work on the 4G networks of most countries. In Australia, Apple offered to refund customers who purchased the device under the impression that it supported 4G in their country.

Apples iPad is 4G it's your country's fault for not having 4G towers I have a iPad 3 I use AT&T 4G LTE it works I live in NYC so how about instead of blaming apple blame your country's cell phone service providers

The problem ISN'T that Apple mislabeled 4G, its simply that 4G isn't implemented all over yet, and where it is, it hasn't been applied universally. Yet, everyone has been asking for a 4G network, so that's how Apple tried to sell it. However, most of the US doesn't have 4G yet, so I can see other locals complaining when someone buys one, thinking they're going to get 4G when they can't possibly access it. But that isn't really Apple's fault, now is it? If you don't have 4G in your area, that's the responsibility of your local wireless companies, not Apple.

I totally agree with you. Sprint just released the HTC EVO LTE and Sprint hasn't even deploy their LTE network in any of the US cities yet. My thing is if you're gonna complain, complain to your network operator not the device. Last time I checked apple is a hardware/software company and don't provide network.

As Steve Jobs might have said, "4G is a bag of hurt."

Good, let Apple learn not to play dirty. Had they chosen the internationally common standard of 4G instead of ATT's, TMobile would have gotten the windfall. It goes to show how they got in bed together. They will have to wait till next year to sell the new crop of iphone 6

however, 4G isn't internationally "common". and on top of that who supposedly touts "the fastest 4G network" in commercials (ever since they claimed to be first in doing so - and still do)? I think you need to ease off throwing mud. It's easy to throw mud, though, but yeah it's okay you could stop.
