T-Mobile to Get Nano-SIM Cards for iPhone 5 in Mid-October

T-Mobile U.S.A. is set to get nano-SIM cards for the new iPhone 5 in mid-October, according to a leaked internal document obtained by TmoNews.

T-Mobile already "announced" that they would begin receiving Nano SIMs in preparation for customers wishing to use an iPhone 5. Well, we've got a bit of double confirmation for you thanks to this this internal screenshot which highlights the different between the three types of SIM cards now in use or set to be used by T-Mobile customers. As you can see, the Nano SIM is exclusive to the iPhone 5 as no other T-Mobile phone uses it. For that matter, no other phone in the US uses a Nano SIM.

Apple is not yet selling unlocked iPhones in the United States but they will soon be available starting at $649.

They did say it would be on T-mobile but I do think they meant T-Mobile Europe.

t-mobile in germany has it. It is nowhere near certain if any other t-mobiles in europe (they are all seperate entities like t-mobile usa) are getting it

What i am wondering.... Is the 'other' iphone, the one sold in europe one that would work on t-mobile's 3g?

if t-mo had at least 3g on iphone, it would have been awesome. with 2g speed its just not worth spending $700...

As if Apple needs a bigger market at this point! Personally, there was a rumor a while back that Apple had considered starting their own phone, hoping to cut out the other mobile venders, eliminating their demands, their angering Apple's clients and their limitations. I'd rather see that come to fruition, but having used ATT when I had to travel 20 miles before I could make a phone call, I hate to leave the network I'm on.
