Apple's stock surpassed $700 in after hours trading today.
The stock has opened higher for the last several days following the successful launch of pre-orders for the new iPhone 5. Today the company announced over 2 million iPhone 5 pre-orders in the first 24 hours of pre-orders. The device launches in stores this Friday.
Apple's market cap is now at $656 billion.
