it's the new CEO making dumb moves Against the consumer. Spending R&D on making sure you can't downgrade and constructing a non-universal connector that is extremely tough to duplicate? And not including an adapter with the 1st generation products? Coming out with an iPad4 that has no real improvement but aforementioned adapter? Suing every other company for another few bucks? Jobs had one thing right that slowly disappeared as these iterations went along where if you make the consumer happy enough by including some features and making sure they work well and are contructed well then they'll spend their money.

Apple needs to either allow jailbreaking (never going to happen) or maybe let off on preventing it so much. I'd say the majority of my friends and family have an idevice and it is jailbroken. Out of those same people probably 95% of them say they would never want an idevice if it was not jailbroken. and I agree with them. Galaxy s devices, here I come if the iPhone stops being able to jailbreak.

You get what you pay for. (Yes including the name) that's why a Mercedes costs more than a Ford Don't like the iPad? Go get a Kindle fire and then pay extra to have the annoying advertisements removed!! Do the math

I agree. It's like any other brand. Apple has established a good reputation and I will keep supporting them since they have been good to me in the past. I have always appreciated their product because that what they do best, is to keep making good products. They can't please everyone. If you're not happy with Apple then feel free to buy something else.

i think , apple should get rid of tim, and put some one with vision and interest on the quality if the products. and care more what the people want. or start suing for patents in order to gain some money, that is not coming from the products.i like apple even i have the iphone 5 but need to innovate the ui. the same ui is getting bore, not like android with live walpaper but something new that calls the attention of users.

Apple has lost its shine with iPad Mini. Apple products are good reliable products. But the price of iPad Mini with its low level performance? Come on, in these hard times why buy something low level for more if you can get more for less? We're not charity!

Lol clearly you haven't used it its better than most tablets that are around 7 all it is a smaller iPad 2 but better yes there are tablets with things like better processors but at the moment there are no apps that require that the only thing is the screen but its not that bad

I agree I love apple best product but the price on the IPad mini turned me off. I started looking at the other tablets for 199.00 hd. Apple needs to have a Black Friday for 199.00 fast ill pick up two.

I will tell how Apple would probably loose its shine., This is only if ..I mean If the JIALBREAK wont be ever available for an Iphone5 or Ipad. But I doubt it.. It had to be a Jailbreak coming out for the community to start buying tweaks on cydia.

I'm afraid so.. But let's face it, which technological giant can maintain its shine for a lifetime? Microsoft is down, Nokia is down, Sony is down, Yahoo is down... I'm afraid it's a matter of time only..

Eventually, apple is really suck and dirty playing over other competitors. I am using 4, but I lost my interest in 5.

The iPad mini wasn't priced like it was simply for profit, since it supposedly less profitable than the other models. I suspect there were other issues like supply and retrofitting the models while in production that drove the costs up. But Apple is already preparing the mini for an update to a retina display. Too bad they couldn't have put off the initial release until it was ready.
