Samsung Hits Apple With 20% Price Increase for Mobile Processors?

Samsung has reportedly raised the price of mobile processors being supplied to Apple by 20%, according to a Chosun Ilbo report relayed by MarketWatch.
"Samsung Electronics recently asked Apple for a significant price raise in (the mobile processor known as) application processor," the person was quoted as saying in the report. "Apple first disapproved it, but finding no replacement supplier, it accepted the (increase.)"
The report adds that Apple and Samsung have started to reflect the new supply price recently.
Samsung is said to have a long term contract to supply APs to Apple until 2014. Last year they supplied more than 200 million units and this year the volume is estimated to be 130 million.

Haha, get that court money back...lol. I'm buying the new Samsung ATIV Tab. Just wish it had more drive space and certainly more memory. The PRO Tablet of ATIV cost a bit to much so that gives me no choice but to buy the Windows RT version. But it's better than the iPad because I have more uses with ATIV than the iPad. Companies are being too cheap when it comes to memory and drive space. IMHO.
Samsung is trying to get their court money back as well as trying to get as much money as possible before Apple starts manufacturing their own processors which they are currently developing.
