Nokia owns navteq maps, without doubt, the best maps in the world! The best gps systems use it, not the teleatlas shite TomTom uses, ie ios6 maps. So don't be so bloody ignorant with your comments- you morons!

Hey You Moron, ya you.. Nobody can make better maps than google. Also no one can use street view because google owns it. And Google is not stupid enough to license it out since Google has a good grip on maps, not to mention they are the best in search engine. - so please stop trying to be a rent a cop and pay attention to the retard words you are saying, dumb ass.

well, before we judge nokia, let's see the actual product first. remember, before samsung, motorola, LG, HTC, and lastly apple, there was Nokia! it might be a struggling company but it actually paved the way to the modernization of the mobile phone. hell, apple didn't even have copy-paste and MMS on the original iPhone!! Nokia had those features in the most dinosaur of their phones. Let's give them a chance. their map is actually decent, and they have a community mapping option too. although I had been giving much attention to waze now since I hate waiting for quarterly updates on maps that might not even include my area. The problem with community maps is that they are all scattered. There is one for OSM, Google, Waze, and now Nokia. Whycan't these freaking companies just share one community??? I wonder why they can't just use OSM data so we get a central database instead of multiple separate communities.

Nokia is the worst company. They don't give a crap about their customers. If this map app is any sort of reflection of their phone products and. Us timer service, then it will be crap.

I still think Google maps (hopefully and once it is re-releases on the App Store) will dominate once again. I do like the apple maps app but I like the overall look of the street and labels in the interface much better since its easier to tell which street is which while zoomed out.

Google maps on the iPhone was crap. It was also crippled by Google by not allowing anyone to use their API while on the iPhone. That's the reason it never had turn by turn nav. The only reason why people are crying its because its not there any longer. It's the same as when Apple acquire the developers of Siri and when they took the app away to pave the way for Siri integration in iOS people were outraged. All of the sudden every iPhone user was using that app for everything before Apple discontinued it. Apple's maps isn't as bad as people are crying it is. It isn't perfect but it is functional. Nokia maps will be a good addition for those looking for the features iOS 6 maps doesn't have. I have a Nokia Lumia 900 and an iPhone 5 and the maps on the Nokia is pretty good.
