Following discredited rumors that Apple disbanded its pro audio group, MacRumors reader Nicholas emailed CEO Tim Cook to ask about the future of Logic.
Nicholas' email was redirected to Apple's music product marketing chief, Xander Soren, who responded saying:
----- Nicholas, thanks for your email. As the lead for our music creation apps, I always want to hear what our users are thinking. I want to assure you the team is still in place and hard at work on the next version of Logic Pro.

Logic Pro can be purchased from the App Store for $199.99.
Logic uses to cost $799.99 my friend purchased Logic Pro 9 for $599.99 at guitar Center and now he is pissed because now it cost $199.99. Another thing to note, it's not available for PC., since v5.0 which posses off many musicians that had hundreds of studio projects that where no longer supported. And they all moved to ProTools and Ableton. Apple lost thousands of musicians due to not supporting PC version any longer. - don't by Logic, save yourself the agony and headaches. Go get ABLETON SUITE LIVE 8.....
Ya, my friend is blowing a fit in his studio. He just purchased Ableton Suite for $599.99 tax of course. And he just seen this post. He can not return the purchase because they said he might of copied it. He shows the price to the manager and they said he's out of luck that they can not help. So now he purchased Ableton Suite Live 8 and swares he will never buy an Apple product ever again.
