Samsung dominates the Top 10 Most Viral Tech Ads of 2012, according to a VisibleMeasures report. Apple only makes the list once with the iPhone 5 ad placing at number six.

Samsung tops the list in 2012 with Galaxy S III, a satirical campaign mocking Apple and its fans. In fact, not only does Samsung nab the top spot on the list with 71 million views, which is 17 million views more than the runner up, it also grabs three other spots on the list, including number three, four, and eight.

Intel and Toshiba's groundbreaking social film The Beauty Inside claims the number two spot, snagging 54.4 million views in 2012. Google follows grabbing spots 5 and 9 with Project Glass and Google Nexus 7. Microsoft takes 10th place with its teaser campaign for Surface.

Apple, which had the most-watched Tech Ad of 2011, only has one campaign on Top 10 in 2012: Introducing iPhone 5. What accounts for this? In 2011, Apple generated 50 million True Reach views overall, with a 5 million view count average per campaign. In 2012, Apple's overall performance rose 16% to 57.8 million views. But the average view count per campaign dropped 11% to 4.4 million views.

Samsung's performance is a massive increase of last year generating over 240 million views 2012 campaigns. That's a 580% increase.

Take a look at the list below...

Has anyone seen the Galaxy III's display? I was hoping Samsung would use IPS/PLS on the new Galaxy Note II, but again, this horrible AMOLED screen. Battery life is horrible! The colors are all out of whack. It's barely bright enough at full brightness, whereas my iPhone 5 hurts my eyes when the brightness is over 65-75%, unless I'm outside. All reviews are talking about the screen as "one of the few negatives". So the single most important aspect of your device is one of the only things not as good as the iPhone (4S at the time most of these reviews were published). The 4S has a better screen than the Galaxy S III. In other words, the iPhone 5 has a MUCH better screen with a 44% better color gamut and contrast is also improved!
