iOS App Switcher Concept Goes From Forum to Reality

An iOS app switcher concept originally posted and designed by a Verge forum member, has been developed into a real iOS tweak

Auxo, the jailbreak tweak that will be available in the coming days on iOS 6 (iOS 5 to follow), makes great use of the iPhone 5's extra space by showing preview cards of each app. rather than a simple icon. Unfortunately, since there is no jailbreak for the iPhone 5, we will have to wait to fully experience Auxo, however it runs smoothly on the iPhone 4.

The app switcher now displays elongated card-like icons that serve as a visual representation of their respective app.

The playback controls page, accessible by swiping to the right, now shows more information about the media playing than before, while also sporting improved playback buttons (inspired by the new music app's player design).

The settings page (two swipes right), previously known as 'the useless volume slider' page, now features a useful brightness slider as well as settings toggles which, like the brightness slider, can be used as shortcuts to enable and disable system functions, previously only accessible through the settings app.

The tweak should be available in Cydia in the coming days. No word on pricing yet.

Oh, nice tweak.. Now we can have the preview of background apps just like Android.. Cool! I'd buy an iPhone 5 but I think without a jailbreak, iOS sucks. Android may be copying iOS but I don't have a problem with that. This competition will eventually benefit us as users, so quit fighting like little girls and just enjoy the offerings of both ;-)

Very cool. If I could only download 1 JB tweak, this would be it. Now, where's our JB?

It took long enough for someone to figure this out :P Thank god for jailbreaking older devices.... I just wish the community would be more "respectful" of the people who take time out of their lives to do things like jailbreaking phones. Instead of getting new devices and updates and then demanding a jailbreak :'(

its not the andriod that copies the jailbreak tweaks its the apple who copies . starting from the app store idea in to begin with . Apple is using jailbreak community to pick out proven in the world new feature to add in the next version of ios IOSCracker is definately a apple fanboy in a bubble falling far short from reality
