Nokia is planning to release a thinner, lighter, aluminum successor to the Lumia 920 smartphone, codenamed 'Catwalk', reports The Verge.

We understand that Nokia is also planning another two Lumia handsets that will debut as part of a new line up this year. Nokia's Catwalk device is designed as a successor to the Lumia 920 and will debut as a replacement to the company's current Windows Phone 8 flagship with similar internal hardware specifications. A move towards aluminum brings Nokia back to the pre-Windows Phone days when the company launched its first Symbian 3 device, the N8, in a range of vibrant colors. It will also allow the Finnish company to compete against Apple's iPhone size and weight, something that it was unable to do with the polycarbonate body used in the Lumia 920.

Nokia has been steadily improving its Windows Phone devices. Its latest Lumia devices can compete on features; however, despite their build quality, users have complained that they seem bulky and thick compared to the sleek offerings from Apple and Samsung.

Finally the idiots over at Nokia are understanding that's polycarbonate phones are cheap. Now they on to copy Apple's aluminum design. Great Nokia!. No matter what they do they can't catch Apple. Just can't. Call me Apple fanboy, but the truth is truth!
