T-Mobile Offers Its Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data Plan Without a Contract

Posted January 9, 2013 at 3:06am by iClarified
T-Mobile has announced that its Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data Plan will be available without an annual contract starting tomorrow.

“As the ‘Uncarrier,’ we’re doing the unthinkable,” said John Legere, president and chief executive officer of T-Mobile USA. “We’re directly confronting the frustrations of American consumers fed up with the cost, complexity and congested networks of our competitors. Our Unlimited 4G Data plan means 4G speeds, no caps and no overages on a smoking-fast, nationwide, 4G network. What this means is simply that T-Mobile customers are going to be able to enjoy everything a 4G smartphone is actually designed to do without limits and without a term contract.”

The company notes that nearly half (46%) of new customers in December opted for the plan. Starting tomorrow the plan will be available with no annual contract for $70 per month at www.t-mobile.com, at T-Mobile retail stores or through select dealers and national retail stores.

I am excited about this new way to do mobile. I am with Solavei, a T-Mobile MVNO, that rewards their users for sharing the service with others. Throttled after using a whopping 4GB of data in a month, I think they are on the right track with T-Mobile. It's exciting when companies work to think outside the box. www.purplepaysyou.com

What about for the customers who allrwady have the 70$ monthly plan which includes only 5gb of trafic at 4g ...then the unhuman 2g unlimited, are we getting the unlimited 4g !? Or the plan keeps on with this shitty limit

Too bad their shit is gonna be so slow and unreliable with all these people switching. I'm sticking with AT&T :)

Tmobile is really trying to get the customers, that's great. Their service is not the best but it is do-able for an average person (unless you travel allot). I also think $70 is the best deal compare to even the cheapest carrier Sprint that has an iPhone (Sprint data speeds are slow as well). I like competition and t-mobile is doing great stuff lately. Good

In my area AT&T always displays "NO SERVICE" and T-Mobile is the one that has full bars. I guess it just depends where you live. I'm happy with T-Mobile and also happy with this package! It is HOWEVER important to note that you can't use 3G on T-Mobile! 4G will be avail. soon though! http://www.cnet.com/8301-17918_1-57560271-85/t-mobile-expands-4g-network-sort-of-offers-4g-iphone/

Not true about the 3g, I have 3g on my 4 right now on tmobile. In the markets they opened up the new network you will get both.

I wish att has the unlimited .The problem with T-mobile their service sucks. I used to have T-mobile, always says NO SERVICE in my basement, It is horrible. It is not alwasy about the unlimited data. Service is very important too. Does the facetime work with T-mobile now? I remember I had to purchase TimeME from Cydia for $10 to get my facetime activated. It should be $50 a monthby the time you add taxes and the bullshit fees you will be paying $100

Wow!!! What a great deal this is. Nothing compared to their 4g plans available in more places thank others. I don't have T Mobile I have Sprint but I will be switching if they really don't have throttling like AT&T and Verizon.

hah, wow! I would never pay that much for unlimited data. My $30 unl. data on AT&T pulls down 20Mbps with 10Mbps going up. On average during regular hours. My record so far with the iPhone 5 is 60Mbps down with 4G LTE. On AT&T's other 4G network I get around 10-15Mbps with 4G HSPA+. So far, no throttling either...Hard to go over 5gigs a month, tho.

You aren't paying $30 a month. You're paying $30 for data, + least expensive minutes plan (450 minutes a month) is another $40 per month...

Tmobile doesnt support iphone4s it will only on edge. But I heard iphone 5 lte tmobile does support faster speed but only limited citys for now. I just switch to tmobile from sprint belive me 4g unlimted beats sprint slow 3g service. I get 14-19mb 4g speed and no throttle. This is best deal ever and there service plan is waay cheaper then sprint.

It should work fine with the iPhone 4S. Just know that currently on most major cities have that 1900mhz frequency that the iPhone needs to have tmobile 3G which from personal experience is just as fast if not faster than AT

The 4s will work just fine if you are in one of these 46 metro areas http://www.tmonews.com/2013/01/t-mobile-adds-new-modernized-networks-including-denver-and-los-angeles/
