Nice to see that Apple are ok to let their employees have unlocked phones, while the rest of the Apple fanboys are not allowed to have them unlocked ... how ironic.

Actually Apple sells unlocked phones to anyone willing. It's the carriers (ATT, Sprint, Verizon) that don't want people to unlock because they technically paid for more than half of the cost of the phone (they cost 650 unlocked or you can buy one from one of the carriers for 200 and the carrier covers the rest of the costs) as long as you sign up to a 2 year contract. After the 2 years are up you become full owner and can get it unlocked from them and leave that carrier since your contract is up.

Well their problem is that Android (besides security & fragmentation issues) is a great OS. It can perform all of the basic needs that iOS can do. I'm not a fan of Android (with the exception of Android x-86) but it does pose a considerable threat against Apple. If I were Apple I'd take this new year and revamp a couple things such as: iOS, the iPhone, and OS X.

You are right! IOS,iPhone and OSX need to progress! Apple is currently in cruise mode, and Samsung is eating their cake!
