The Apple TV 2 will be included in the upcoming jailbreak, according to MuscleNerd of the Evad3rs Dev-Team.

Awesome...as @EvilPenguin_ pointed out, we're seeing the final ATV2 6.1 today too. So ATV2 will be covered by the JB (not ATV3 tho).

Unfortunately, as mentioned earlier the Apple TV 3 will not be supported by this jailbreak.

No that site is 100% bullshit. They make money off people that generate traffic by visiting there site. They have promised a jb for atv3 end of November , then they said December , now they say 1st February . Complete bullshit! We warn all jailbreaker not to visit that site..... They are a cancer to the jb community !!!

Right. The guy who owns that site makes money off amazon affiliate links when people click the link to buy the product on that page. he also owns the dailygossip site that links to the jailbreak site and a ton of other domains that do the same thing.

First of all apple sold 2 million apple TV 3's in 2012 and now is 2013 people are saying the jail break will come out February 1 I'm not sure if that's legit please research and let me know

Can someone please let us know when we might possibly see a jailbreak for ATV3? sometime in the next few months would be great, but I'm patiently waiting. Any insight or timeline would be appreciated. Thanks.

iTV 3 JB is NOT coming, but conversely, who wants to pay extra for the iTV 2 when it doesn't support HD TV? While it's nice getting a few extra channels, I'd rather have fewer channels that are worth watching than a bunch that look like a 1970s TV screen. (P.S. there's no jb for the iTV 3 because there are ONLY 3 jailbreakers, and with the low volume of iTVs sold, it doesn't make sense to dedicate the time to jailbreak them).

ATV 2 is HD you know, 720p is still HD. Far from "a 1970s TV". If they could JB ATV 3 they would. its not a case of not bothering because of low sales. In fact Apple sold 2.8 million ATVs in 2011, 5.3 million ATVs in 2012 plus another 2 million in 2013 so far. So they've most likely sold more 3s then 2s by now.
