Posted February 15, 2013 at 4:57am by iClarified
Apple has acknowledged a bug that makes it possible to bypass the iOS 6.1 lockscreen passcode, reports AllThingsD.

Reached for comment, Apple said it is hard at work on a fix. “Apple takes user security very seriously” spokeswoman Trudy Muller told AllThingsD. “We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update.”

More info on how the bug works can be found here.

the step "Press and hold the sleep/wake button and in exactly 3 seconds tap the emergency call button.", is very timing critical, to quickly or to late and you only get the black screen, Once you get the phone dial pad you have to press the Home button (to take a snapshot of the screen) only then do you get access

That's why I jailbreak. Use applocker or similar app to lock individual icons on your springboard.
