Apple has released a big update to the Podcasts app that lets users create custom stations that are stored in iCloud, create On-The-Go playlists, and more.

Podcasts app is the easiest way to discover, subscribe to, and play your favorite podcasts. Explore hundreds of thousands of free audio and video podcasts from the Podcasts Store. Create personal stations that update automatically with new episodes. Sync playlists from iTunes, or create an On-The-Go playlist to play just the episodes you want. You can even play popular podcasts right from the built-in Top Charts.

When does Apple permits us to Creat a Podcast directly to itunes, from here or 3rd party Apps ?

Apple also sent out a mail to all podcast providers to tell us, that the new cover arts need to be 1600x1600px. Also the server where the podcast is hosted needs to support Byte Range Requests from now on!
