T-Mobile Unveils New Contract-Free Plans

T-Mobile Unveils New Contract-Free Plans

Posted March 25, 2013 at 12:40am by iClarified
T-Mobile has unveiled new contract-free plans ahead of a press event scheduled for Tuesday.

The new plans start with unlimited nationwide calls, unlimited nationwide texting, and 500MB of data for $50/month. Notably, you won't be charged for overages; however, your data speed will be slowed to 2G levels. For an extra $20/month you can add unlimited highspeed data access but you'll still be limited to 500MB for mobile hotspot usage. Alternatively, you can move up to 2GB, 4GB, 6GB, 8GB, 10GB, or 12GB plans for an extra $10/month for each step.

Presumably, we'll learn more about T-Mobile's plans on Tuesday.

I plan on keeping my Get More plan which conversely has 1500 minutes and 1000 on two separate accounts. I have the grandfather unlimited data plan on all my 7 lines. I think these new plans aren't any better. If anyone needs a line on the older plan, let me know

These plans suck. I left TMobile after being with them for 8 years. They screwed me over. Get one of those pre paid plans that go a little faster for much less money. There are plenty of companies. I have unlimited data text and web and cell to cell for $80 a month with full LTE.

awesome. But I currently use iphone with unlimited data for only $10 a month because I was grandfather into an old plan. Does that mean I will have to pay more? I hope not.

Also if you get an att iPhone 5 (which will be the same midel tmobile will sell) and use it on Tmobile in areas where LTE is available like Las Vegas or Kansas City you should be able to use it on your iPhone. If your using a Verizon iPhone 5 you will only get 4G but that doesn't exactly matter as much for now.

So $70 and unlimited everything? This won't really be that useful until 1900MHz is available in more market until then my iPhone 5 only gets 2G. But at least all paid extra features like hotspot are free since I'm not using a Tmobile phone.

I'm trying to do the math in my head why would anyone want 500mb of data heck I can use that up in a day or 2 if I tried. I would definitely do straight talk first before I went with these plans
