Apple to Classify Original iPhone as 'Vintage' and 'Obsolete' on June 11, 2013

A leaked internal memo reveals that Apple will relegate the original iPhone to 'vintage' and 'obsolete' status on June 11, 2013, according to 9to5Mac.

The term 'vintage' refers to devices older than five years but less than seven. They are eligible for repair only in California. Obsolete products are not eligible for repair whatsoever. The original iPhone will be classified as 'vintage' in the U.S. and obsolete in Asia-Pacific, Canada, Europe, Japan, and at Apple Retail Stores.

Vintage? lol That only applies to things that are decades old... Apple is reaching. The original iPhone was a marvel but common.

They might as well add iPhone5 to the vintage and obsolete list. Its anyways outdated compared to other smartphones out there. :)

Still the best phone I have ever had, even though it is now classified as vintage. And still runs like the day I brought it. All my other phones died within 3 years. Though I also have 2 other iPhones.

I still have a 16gb original Iphone, apple said they would replace it with a brand new one for $150, I'm definitely doing that now:D
