Apple Expands Maps 3D Flyover Support in California

Apple has expanded its Maps 3D Flyover support in California to include areas such as Disneyland and Santa Monica, reports AppleInsider.

The new support includes San Bernardino, Riverside, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario and Moreno Valley, among others. With the additions, Maps offers nearly unbroken Flyover coverage of cities from San Bernardino to the Pacific Ocean. It is unclear if the California cities are the only additions to Apple Maps, though it is possible that other states, or even countries, were added to the list with the latest update.

Earlier this month, Apple added flyover support to Paris and surrounding areas. The company has been progressively rolling out improvements to its Maps application since launching it last fall.

iOS Maps is simply incredibly beautiful as well as highly accurate all over Southern California. The level of detail is stunning, especially on an iPad. And on the iPhone, "Siri" gives excellent turn-by-turn directions. Woohoo!
