The Loop's Jim Dalrymple has posted his thoughts on WWDC repeatedly stating that Apple will not announce a new iPhone or iPad at the event. Dalrymple usually dismisses rumors with a simple 'nope'; however, this time he's made it very clear that we shouldn't be expecting a new iOS device.

The important thing to remember about WWDC is that it is a developer conference. It’s not a place where Apple is going to show off the newest iPhone or iPad. These are Apple’s flagship products and they demand separate events. Entire industries watch these products because they shape what will happen in the mobile space. They are that important. Notably, he does suggest that Apple could release new Mac hardware as has been suggested in the past few weeks. Of course, Apple last night confirmed that it would unveil the future of iOS and OS X at the event. Dalrymple doesn't expect the UI overhaul in iOS to be as drastic as many are suggesting. Rather, he sees iOS as a 'modernization of the look and feel of the operating system."
