Tim Cook's Email to Employees About the New iPhones

Apple CEO Tim Cook sent an email to employees about the new iPhones today.

Here's the leaked message:

-----
Team:

Today is an important day for Apple. Many of you and your coworkers have been hard at work developing the new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c, which are the result of incredible collaboration between hardware and software which only Apple can deliver. In the weeks and months to come, especially as we approach the holidays, our Retail teams will help millions of customers experience these amazing products for the first time. We are also thrilled to be launching iOS 7 next Wednesday.

In addition to the stunning new user interface you saw previewed at WWDC, iOS 7 has been engineered with deep integration with both iPhone 5s and 5c including advanced 64-bit technologies in iPhone 5s. iOS 7 will ship with iTunes Radio, our free Internet radio service, and we are making our mobile iLife and iWork apps available as free downloads for anyone who buys a new iOS device so they can do amazing things with their photos, videos, documents, spreadsheets and presentations.

We made these announcements in Town Hall here in Cupertino this morning. It is a small venue which limits our ability to show the keynote live across campus and to other locations as we like to do. The event is now available to stream on apple.com, so I hope you will take time to watch it. We’ve also posted a Q&A with Greg Joswiak on AppleWeb about the new products and the work behind them. I hope you are as excited about the new iPhone lineup as I am. Our teams do an incredible job taking complex, cutting-edge technology and making it simple for our customers. That’s something everyone at Apple can be proud of.

Tim

This is how I felt as a car guy.....the iPhone is just like the Porscher 911. Started with a perfect concept and they just kept fine tuning it with every generation. They gotta keep some goodies in the bag, pass it out every X'mas............right?

bad way to talk to your employees if you ask me. He has just basically made them feel nothing special as an employee and been told to view the video on the apple website? Why couldnt he stream it because its a small venue what a rubbish excuse?

Wasn't too impressed with the iPhone 5S at first, but after seeing the Keynote information about the phone, I believe the phone is impressive and will do great. I would recommend for everyone to do the same as I did and then form their opinion. Just sayin..........

I hear ya. I glad to see someone else thinks the same thing I do. Instead of just saying that it sucks and nothing's really changed. Personally I had already formed my opinion based on the leaks these past few months and figured it would just be another iPhone 5 with some minor upgrades. But after watching the keynote and seeing what they've done with the hardwares internals I was really impressed. So many people jump to conclusions these days based on looks and always bitching about screen size. Ya I'd live to have a slightly bigger screen but after reading up on what it takes to actually produce a phone with a bigger screen I kind of understand where Tim cook came from when he talked about larger screen devices at the all things digital conference. People don't realize what it takes to make a phone theses days. Ya sure they could make a bigger screen phone just to make people happy but like Tim said with the tech available today I would live up to apples standards. They'd have to cut back on design, battery life, and screen quality. Apple isn't a company that just throws products together just for the sake of making money. They want to build the best possible product they can. With the best possible components they have at the moment. People should just be patient. It will come in time. For sure next year we'll see a bigger phone. Technology can come a long way in a year.

I actually think that for a phone it's a perfect screen size if anybody wants something bigger get an iPad and I'm also totally impressed with the 5S but the email sounds like he is kind of kissing asses which I don't like!

No, theres nothing for apple to be proud of anymore. All this bullshit sucks, Apple is pretty much dead without Steve Jobs. I'm never buying another apple product again, unless they get rid of this hideous ios 7 UI.

Yup, Apple is done. Steve Jobs wouldn't have done this.
