Save Your SHSH Blobs Before iOS 7 is Released

Posted September 18, 2013 at 1:44pm by iClarified
iOS 7 is set for release today and this is a reminder to everyone to save your SHSH blobs!

While SHSH blobs are currently of little use to those with A5+ devices, a future exploit might make them important so we suggest you grab them using one of methods linked below.

If you have an older device such as an iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, or iPod touch 4G, it's even more important that you save your blobs so you have the option to downgrade in the future.

You can use one of the following tutorials to save your SHSH blobs:

TinyUmbrella:
Mac
Windows

iFaith: (Dumps blobs for firmware currently on your device)
Windows

RedSn0w:
Mac
Windows

Yes, you will need to. All devices since the iPhone 3GS use the SHSH blob authentication from Apple.
