I totally agree.with this update iBook loses all it's beauty.whats the point of have a retina display to display an UI so simple?honestly I get disappointed with almost native apps and icons.if Steve was alive I believe he would not approve apple way ...

What's so beautiful about it? It has such a simple and empty design, the icon has more design than the application itself.

beautiful new design? BEAUTIFUL??? It's terrible. iOS1-6 got a bit dusty, a bit boring, too felted and too stitched in all those years for sure, but iOS7 is sooo boring after a few weeks (if not days) already... I can't stand this Lego Duplo look anymore... What do we have highest resolution icons for if they are reduced to primitive and totally uninspired symbols? Traffic signs are less boring and easier to differentiate than this crap. Jony, you are great at hardware design, but UI design? This shall be it? Really? I really never liked the Windows Metro design (and was happy to be on iOS for that matter), but now it almost has an advantage over iOS: Same flat boring design, but at least customizable and more dynamic... That's a totally painful development!
