Instead of being a robotic ball like the Sphero, the Sphero 2B is actually shaped like tube this time around and is twice as fast. According to Orbotix, the Sphero 2B can move up to 14 feet a second and it is twice as fast as the Sphero. With its tubular polycarbonate design, the Sphero 2B can not only go faster than the original, but also can twist and turn quicker.
The Sphero 2B will be fully programmable and will be compatible with iOS and Android device via Bluetooth LE, powered by USB charging. It will also feature an entire multiplayer, allowing you to interact with friends on a whole new level.
Sphero 2B will be available in the Fall for $100.
