Watch Kids React to the Apple II [Video]

Watch Kids React to the Apple II [Video]

Posted May 26, 2014 at 5:44pm by iClarified
TheFineBros has posted a new video of kids trying to use the Apple II computer.

The Apple II, first introduced in 1977, was one of the first highly successful mass-produced microcomputer products. It was designed primarily by Steve Wozniak and manufactured by Apple Computer. It is the first model in a series of computers which were produced until Apple IIe production ceased in November 1993.

Take a look at the video below for some humorous reactions!

I highly doubt this was scripted. This generation of children don't understand much of the older technology. If I were that age, sitting there at a bulky computer like that, I would be overwhelmed and, more importantly, confused. "Does it turn on like a television with a button at the bottom of a monitor? It's so big that I doubt you'd have to go all the way to the back to flip it on." And they also asked the trick question, "How do you go on the internet?" Well, of course they'd assume it could connect. With the simple Google search, they obviously would not understand having to type all these procedures and press all the buttons just to find out what 2 plus 2 is. Don't mistake ignorance with stupidity. I doubt the generation of children growing up with that computer would have easily understood current computers either.

Dear sweet Jesus they have a fully working very well intact Apple II in front of them. Kids might not but some of us appreciate technology a bit more for what it was and is. I personally would love to own this as a collectors item as it is quite useless, but regardless it's the scratch Steve jobs inflicted on the universe the later progressed into the huge debt that apple has become today (as he would've said).

This video saddens me. I'm 15 and I can navigate a Linux command line with no problem. These kids didn't even know to check for an on switch on the back of the computer. I hope they were just told to act stupid because if not, that's just sad.

You do not expect the a power button on the back if you're used to todays technology. They're not stupid, they're kids.

iMacs today have the power button located on the back, so your point is invalid

All standard desktops have a power switch on the back. So yes your point is invalid.
