The only that would make it bad is blurriness so technically no, not at all.

But this could already be done on previous iPhones with Timelapse Pro. I've been using that app and has gotten very good results. Still, it's nice to se this incorporated into the iPhone itself.

It would even be better if they eventually added a tilt shift option to the time lapse feature.

I like it a lot but I can't see how can you place the camera for so long filming without running out of space... Unless the video is shortened the moment it is filmed ... Could some1 tell me if I am correct?

The video is made with multiple photos, not with a shortened video. Ex: the camera takes a pic every 3 secs (you can choose the frequency); then, every photo y just a frame of the video you made! (a frame usually has 30 frames per second, so a one minute of video is made by 1800 pictures (30 frames per sec by 60 seconds), but will show 90 minutes of what happened --> 1800 frames * 3 sec (photo frequency) = 5400 seconds. 5400 seconds = 90 minutes (5400 / 60 = 90). Hope you can get it! it's tougher than I thought to explain this (especially in english, I speak spanish).

I made a correction in the beginning of the example: "a video usually has 30 frames per second" instead of "a frame usually has 30 frames per second". And Eg instead of Ex =)
