Apple Releases iOS 7.1.2 With Improved iBeacon Connectivity, Bug Fixes

As expected, Apple has released iOS 7.1.2 for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
What's New In iOS 7.1.2: This update contains bug fixes and security updates, including: ● Improves iBeacon connectivity and stability ● Fixes a bug with data transfer for some 3rd party accessories, including bar code scanners ● Corrects an issue with data protection class of Mail attachments
No word yet on whether or not the Pangu jailbreak has been patched, but we'll let you know as soon as possible.
I had the same issue, got stuck while update the device. I suggest, press the power button along with the round button on the panel. let the device restart, and you are good to go. I got mine to work this way.
I've found the only reliable way to restore my iPhone is to
1. make sure you have extra room on your computers main harddrive for the iTunes backup of your phone, for my 4s the backup can take up as much as 57gb on my hard drive
2. back you phone up with iTunes, it will ask you, would you like to transfer apps, press yes
3. unplug phone and turn it off
4. hold home button while plugging it back in until you see the itunes logo
5. restore phone to factory settings, this will also update the phone
6. once complete, select and restore from previous backup
!! Its important always make sure you have extra hard drive space on your computer and also on the ios device itself, it doesn't need much but it cannot be over capacity, this will cause it to fail.

Just did the update on my iPad. This time, unlike with my phone, it went smoothly. I did get my phone fully restored from iCloud backup, but it took about 5 hours. Glad that's over.
I have the same problem with my iPad 2. Stuck in the Update. Been a brick the last 8 hours :-/. Never jailbroken or anything. Hope I Can find a solution
Restoring from iCloud and time remaining is increasing as it goes. Now that makes no sense at all. I suppose in a while it'll say it's going to be a year before it's done restoring the settings, let alone anything beyond that.
The update hosed my never- been jailbroken phone. I don't think it's bricked but if it had been jailbroken it probably would have been ruined beyond recovery. No way I'm groin near a jailbreak.
I did the same steps as always when updating. First time it went so wrong. I think I'll not update my iPad until IOS 8, where at least it will be an update worth spending 12 hours to a day restoring everything.
