ABC News launched on the Apple TV a little over a month ago. Today, ABC News put together an infographic showing off strong app usage.
Findings from the infographic include:
● Users watch 50% more ABC news live video on Apple TV than the desktop and mobile combined
● Viewers spend 65% more time per visit on Apple TV than on desktop.
● Live Programming accounts for 20% of total views
● 9pm EDT is primetime for Apple TV usage
ABC news is also announcing the addition of three local news channels to their Apple TV app: lbuquerque (KOAT), Boston (WCVB), and Honolulu (KITV).
Apple has been long-rumored to release a more advanced Apple TV that bridges content providers and users, however that has been reportedly delayed until 2015 due to content negotiation issues.
