Sprint Unveils Revamped Shared Family Plans

Posted August 19, 2014 at 5:01am by iClarified
Sprint introduced new shared data plans today that double the amount of high-speed data offered by T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon at the same or lower price.

The new plans offers 20GB of shared data for just $100 a month, and for a limited time, you can also get an additional 2GB of data per each line. That means if you sign-up 10 lines you can get 40GB of shared data and unlimited talk/text.

The Sprint Family Share Pack, offering double the high-speed shareable data for smartphones, basic phones, tablets and mobile broadband devices, will be available starting Aug. 22. For example you can get four lines and 20GB of data for $160 compared to 10GB of data for the same price from AT&T or Verizon.

But wait, there's more. To kick off Sprint’s “new day for data” campaign, Sprint is offering a limited-time promotion for the Sprint Family Share Pack: For a family with up to 10 lines, get 20GB of Shared Data and Unlimited Talk & Text for only $100 a month through 2015 – and, as an added bonus, customers will get an additional 2GB per line for up to 10 lines. For a family of four, that’s a savings of $60 per month better than AT&T’s and Verizon’s current pricing through 2015; double the data of Verizon; and more than double the high-speed data of AT&T and T-Mobile.

“Sprint is offering the best value to data-hungry consumers. Period,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint CEO. “We are doubling the high-speed wireless data because today’s customers rely so much on their smartphones and tablets. We make it simple and easy for wireless consumers to get the data they need at affordable prices to make their lives easier, more productive and enjoyable. We are so certain that this is the best value on wireless today that for any customer who wants to switch to our new Sprint Family Share Pack, we will reimburse them for the cost to end their contract with another carrier.”

“Simply put, we are offering the best deal on shared data,” Claure said. “We have more news coming later this week about plans for individuals. We want customers to think twice before choosing another wireless carrier.

Sprint is also offering Visa gift cards (up to $350) to cover ETFs for those who switch carriers. The new plans go into effect on August 22nd. Sprint also has revamped plans for individuals, which is plans to unveil soon.

Sprint has better coverage than Tmobile. I just want Verizon and AT&T to join in. Because Tmobile sucks! Terrible coverage, dropped calls, and no service when in the city sometimes.

Sprint attempted to be better than them. I have heard form my friends they ripped them off and barely any coverage. I have had tmobile for 2 years and I am so relieved with what business I had with them. Coverage is perfect even the map said so, cheapest costs ever paid for, offered more than ever.

There's so many holes with Data coverage that signing up with Sprint is still like shooting yourself in the foot, I Switched to T-Mobile and I'm happy with the service, especially with no contracts.

Wow!!! It took sprint this long to finally react to what T-mobile has been doing for almost 2 years now! Besides the chart is wrong, it's 6 lines for tmobile and if you call customer care it's 10 lines plus 5 data.
