T-Mobile Increases Allowed Family Plan Subscribers to 10, Doubles Your Data When You Add a Tablet

T-Mobile has made another two announcements today. The first is that starting tomorrow you will be allowed to have 10 lines on a family plan. The second is that starting September 3rd you will get double the data when adding a tablet to your Simple Choice smartphone plan.

Expanded Family Plan:
Adding a line to your T-Mobile Simple Choice plan has always been simple and straightforward at just $10 per line per month after the second subscriber. Starting tomorrow August 27th, T-Mobile is expanding that simple, low-cost pricing from five to ten lines per account.

Double the Data When Adding a Tablet
Starting September 3rd, adding a tablet – any tablet – to a postpaid Simple Choice phone plan costs just $10 per month. And right on top of that, the Un-carrier will match your smartphone’s LTE data plan – up to 5 GB a month – reserved for use on your tablet. For example, a customer with a Simple Choice smartphone plan with 5 GB of LTE data can add a tablet with another 5 GB of data set aside for use on that tablet, for just $10 per month. That’s a total of up to 10 GB of LTE data. And that’s all on top of the 200 MB of free LTE data every single month for the life of your tablet.

T-Mobile has been on a tear lately. Yesterday, it announced quadruple the simple starter LTE data for an extra $5/month. A couple days earlier it announced a free year of unlimited LTE data to customers who switch from Sprint, AT&T, or Verizon and to the person that referred them.

How funny, expensive on smartphone access but no cost on data sharing, but just overall slightly more expensive than AT&T. Not wort going for them anyways.

AT&T already had this plan. But T-Mibile still way cheaper than AT&T. And T-Mobile LTE is blazing fast.
