Microsoft has unveiled a new Universal Mobile Keyboard that works with iOS, Android, and Windows. The idea is that you can use the keyboard to easily switch between your devices that run different operating systems.

With the Microsoft Universal Mobile Keyboard, getting stuff done while you’re on the go has never been easier. Power through emails, put together a proposal, build a presentation, or simply instant message with a friend. The Universal Mobile Keyboard has an OS switch that lets you change from one operating system to another while maintaining a fully functional keyboard. And with the physical “chiclet” style keyset on this keyboard, you’ll feel like you’re typing on your laptop without lugging around the extra weight or bulk.

The Universal Mobile Keyboard was built to be portable. Opening the protective cover automatically turns on the keyboard, making a Bluetooth connection. Shut the cover, and it turns off. The cover also has an integrated stand that can be detached, so you can position your tablet in a comfortable position.

Notably, there is even a command key to make Apple users happy.

Pricing & Availability:
The Universal Mobile Keyboard will be generally available in October 2014 for the estimated retail price of $79.95 at the Microsoft Store and at various other retailers.

Wow, mocking apple for not having a keyboard (not that it matters) yet they now realized Apple has one because this is optimized for it? Very smart move indeed.

You didn't know what I meant. Quite obvious. It's microscopic perspectives thanks for asking.

Duh! As usual, M$ arrives late to the party with the very product everyone else has been selling for some time. A bluetooth keyboard you can use for any device? Everyone already offers that. The only thing they're adding is poor M$ service.

Nice Apple Keyboard with a cover... Microsoft, please go home, you're drunk. Like Nex said- Logitech's got this! Microsoft need to figure out what the hell to do with all of the unsold Surfaces that are sitting in the warehouse.

And also figure out what to do when 16,000 disgruntle former employees. It's funny how Microsoft and Samsung are constantly making bash commercials saying their products are better but they're firing and laying people off left and right and the so called better products aren't selling nearly the same amounts as apples products. They seriously need to take a lesson from apple who worries about themselves and their own products. That's why the products are so much better and are selling in record numbers. These competitors want what apple has and constantly try to be apple but they'll never get there if they don't worry about themselves. Simple as that.

Logitech K810 and an older one on solar power are there for years. If this is supposed to be an innovation, then FAIL

I thought it was the virtual iOS 8 keyboard. If you need a keyboard buy a Laptop, if you can, phones and iPads are mobile devices and it's cumbersome carrying all these things around.
