It still not the way I thought- when turns off 'Cellular Data' the 3G sign disappears while the phone is still in 3G.

Button 'Enable LTE' turns on/off LTE (& 3G). And button 'Cellular Data' turns on/off (LTE &) 3G. If you have first turned off 'Enable LTE' then you can with button 'Cellular Data' choose between 2G and 3G. Although the button, it was available previously, but then it just turns off 'Cellular Data' or data communications (internet), but not the 3G. I hope, that now we can turn completely off 3G with that button.

iOS 8.1 is the first update in 7.5 years to actually break my phone. I updated my iPhone 5 (CDMA, Verizon) from 8.0.2 to 8.1, and could no longer place phone calls. The problem is only with making calls. When receiving calls, everything works fine. Pressing Call causes the LTE indicator to disappear, and then nothing - the phone, speakerphone and Bluetooth are all dead silent. The call timer runs, it looks normal, but the phone doesn't actually dial the call. After ending the call, the data indicator shows 3G and then LTE again. As soon as a call is placed, the data indicator disappears. Restored to factory, no change. Reverted to iOS 8.0.2, and it works again. Cupertino, we have a problem. Forget the i at the beginning...it's a PHONE first.

Hey Mac Doc, what's your diagnosis? Looks like a failed OTA update, simple restore and update from your iTunes or reset network settings as the first option. My prognosis says, "You'll be just fine."

They should fix the screen rotation on the 6+. Mail is the only application that works upside down. Also music crashes when logged on with iTunes match.

Hi, I´m from the Netherlands and it doesn´t work on any dutch sim card. So I tried a turkish sim card that I used during the holidays and it worked, so it´s indeed the carrier bundle update issue. I already spammed my operator with it..

With this major update, you can prevent bendgate problem also. This is the update people were waiting for. Basically what happens is that, this update gives some kind of energy to circuits and edge or motherboard so its kinda refuse to bend. There are some confirmed report also that some of the "already bent" phones became straighten with this update. You should try to bend after this update to verify that update is properly done. Thank god, update came even if it was delayed.

Now Many users confirmed that bend gate got fixed with his update. Mostly non-effected phones are showing better result when they try to bend after update. The latest addition is that some of the hair gate customers started experiencing new hair growth after the update. With all these evidence updating to latest version became mandatory for all. Good luck

Go to Settings>Mobile You'll see 2 options. One for Mobile Data and a second for 4G. Disable the 4G option ensuring that Mobile Data is enabled and the network will switch within about 10 seconds to 3G.
