iPad Air 2 Features 3-Core 1.5GHz A8X Processor, 2GB of RAM [Benchmarks]

Early benchmarks for the new iPad Air 2 reveal that the device features a 3-core 1.5GHz A8X processor and 2GB of RAM.

Primate Labs posted early benchmarks for the new device to Twitter noting that, "iPad Air 2 with a 3-core processor is the fastest multi-core iOS device by a large margin."

iPhoneBenchmark.net also posted memory mark benchmarks for the device which revealed a memory size of ~1987MB.

Take a look at the charts below for more details. It looks as though new iPad has significantly more processing power than any iOS device we've ever seen before!

WTF 4th core disabled as on Apple TV? Nobody makes chips with 3 cores

See these results kids?? More memory and more cores = more horse power. This pretty much sums up and punch all the iSheep's in the face with the "who needs more than 1GB ram?? Who needs more than dual-core??" excuses. GJ Apple. Finally providing us the real performance!!

In the IPhone 6 and 6 , they still beat their competition in speed in single and multi core benchmarks even though they use dual core and 1 GB of RAM.

You miss understood the idea. More cores and more clock speed = more power. However, this does not mean that it will be faster if one device has more cores and clock speed than a device that is completely different. I mean if two similar devices contains different cores, the one which contains the more is gonna be more powerful. That's what I believe:)

Are very many programs actually going to be able to take advantage of the Air 2's multi-core performance? Is this part of the reason that Apple has declared only 64-bit programs for the near future of the App Store?
