New Apple Tool Lets You Deregister Your Phone Number From iMessage

Apple has posted a new tool that lets you deregister your phone number from iMessage.

You may need to turn off iMessage if you are now using a non-Apple phone and can't get SMS or text messages someone sends you from an iPhone.

The tool resolves an issue with Apple's messaging system that manifests when switching from iOS to another operating system while keeping the same number. Often Apple's system doesn't recognize that your number is no longer associated with an iOS device. Consequently, messages from other iOS users are still sent via iMessage, which can't be received on the new device, resulting in a large number of unreceived SMS messages.

Thankfully, you can now input your number into this form to deregister it from iMessage.

If you've been experiencing this problem, give the tool a try and let us know in the comments if it resolves your issues!

Imposter! I'm the real Steve always proud to be living the afterlife because I was known for how much I worked at this badass genius company! F'uck off trolls scamming the shit with jealousy! I wanted Sony if I did, that's why it's my backup. Iphone 6 is waterproof thanks to app,es work and with jailbreak it puts Xperia out of place. Apple would make fireproof smartphones because it eliminates the gas spewing shits like you. This is how they are best at their game. Nuff said. Signing out!

You don't know that Xperia Z5 is using xOS. It's similar to iOS but everything if free and you don't need to use xailbreak. It's hell exclusive. PEACE YOU MORTALS...

Because Sony tried to expand in the apple world like I wanted to, but failed and is just recognized by OS X. Nothing more! Similar to ios but don't get as much with it even for what you get out of the box jailbroken or not. Doesn't make xboria any better. SIGNING OUT YOU PUNYS!
