Apple's release of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus boosted enterprise iOS activations in Q3, 2014 from 67% to 69% with Android's activation share dropping by an equal amount, according to the Good Technology Mobility Index Report.

The introduction of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus appears to have made a significant impact on the overall share. While iOS made up 66 percent of all activations in the months of July and August, a drop of one percent from the previous quarter, iOS activations comprised 73 percent of September activations. Windows Phone activations remain consistent with the six previous quarters and made up one percent of total device activations

Notably, the report finds that the iPhone 6 greatly outpaced the iPhone 6 Plus. In September, the iPhone 6 accounted for 17% of all activations. Out of those 17%, 85% were the iPhone 6 while only 15% were the iPhone 6 Plus.

Despite gaining on Android in overall OS activations, Android gained in tablet activations. It now accounts for 11% of tablet activations; whereas, the iPad accounts for 89%.

iphone 6 outselling the plus by ratio of 6.1 is most unfair observation taking into account that there have been supply constraints of the 6 plus.My initial assessment is that having had the iPhone 6 for the first 3 weeks from date of initial release in UK it was a great phone but no real step up from the 5s plus the battery was draining by 6pm.Evenmire the resolution was a ripp Of for a £700 pound phone.3 weeks later Apple Store kindly exchanged it for the plus for me.Let me tell you now have that the plus is a much better phone all round then the 6.You get used to the size and appreciate the extra screen. No it does not bend and is a proper upgrade from the 5s.It will sell like hot cookies when Apple sort out the supply.Believe me!

Gee, what a surprise. iPhone 6 activations outpaced iPhone 6 Plus activations! Of course, there were hardly any iPhone 6 Pluses to be had.

Tell that to those careful less rich people that blamed bend gate. Even the zdnet writer says it doesn't bend. Saying iphone bending so easily is a joke. It's made with premium metal that even the 5s doesn't bend.

For shame Microsoft! Failing in brainwashing with mocking ads after results shows siri being better than corntana. Besides megapixels doesn't matter when you have decent quality that won't be as blurry. Worth memory saving. This is why the users are against it!

Well the report is only those enterprise customers using good technology software. Not exactly a demographic of the enterprise market.
