Apple Announces That iOS 8 Adoption Has Reached 63% [Chart]

Apple has announced that iOS 8 adoption has reached 63% as measured by the App Store on December 8th. That's an increase of 3% from November 24th when Apple last measured the number.

Adoption of iOS 8 was initially slower than iOS 7; however, it has been increasing steadily. Holiday sales of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are also likely to increase usage of the new operating system.

Apple released the latest update to iOS, iOS 8.1.2, to the public yesterday. Developers have already been seeded with an iOS 8.2 Beta that brings support for WatchKit.

Obvious. After iOS 8 released all versions were / are having bugs and issues compatibility and all shitty issues so poor users forced to update thinking that it would improve in new version but story is the same. Fortunate to have buggy iOS

I am not sure why this is a good thing since they force you to upgrade if you need to reset your device because of issues. I wish I could roll back.

Because one, they drop the old versions to due to how it supports new hardware and two, who cares about problems depending on models, bug fixes will always be there.

I think it is called freedom of choice. If one is happy at a lower iOS verison than the latest why should one be forced to upgrade if for some reason one needs to rebuild/ reset the iDevice? Apple could just state they do not support anything else than the latest iOS and let the users decide/ have the freedom of choice.
