LifeProof has announced the fre Power -- a waterproof battery case for iPhone 6. Fre Power gives the iPhone 6 an additional 2600 mAh of battery power, (the iPhone 6 packs a 1810 mAh battery) and protects the device from water, drops, dust and snow. Fre Power is waterproof up to 6.6 feet (2 meters) for one hour and meets military standards for shock and impact protection.
LifeProof fre is the original four-proof case, designed for maximum protection against water, drops, dust and snow. The sleek structure includes a built-in screen protector and full access to all device features and functions. fre Power not only provides protection from the elements, but also adds an additional 2,600 mAh of battery power. The lithium ion battery doubles the iPhone 6 battery life, while smart charging technology automatically shuts the case off when the device is fully charged.
"The addition of a waterproof power solution and universal accessory line take LifeProof's industry-leading product lineup to a whole new level," said President and CEO Pete Lindgren. "fre Power and LifeActiv accessories allow you to harness the remarkable capabilities of the iPhone 6 and truly live without limits."
LifeProof has not announced pricing or availability of the case, but their website indicates sometime in 2015.

I am not concerned about the finger print sensor. That allows for warrantless searches of your cellular phone. I'd rather protect myself from illegal search and seizure AND have waterproofing and battery life. I hope they make this for the iPhone 6 Plus!

The problem with water proofing is the fingerprint sensor not working, and here they don't even mention it.

Fingerprint sensor works just fine. I have a lifeproof and use Touch ID all the time.
